What we do, and what you get

Six services covering a book from first idea to launch day. Take one, take all of them, or start in the middle — there is no package you have to buy your way into.

WRITE DESIGN PUBLISH

Service 01

Ghostwriting

You have the story, the expertise or the idea. You do not have six months to learn to write a book. We write it in your voice, with you steering at every stage — and your name is the only one on it.

How it runs

  1. Interviews. We record conversations with you until we have the material and, more importantly, the way you actually speak.
  2. Outline. A chapter-by-chapter plan you approve before a word of prose is written. Changing the plan is cheap; rewriting a finished book is not.
  3. Chapters. We write in batches and send them as we go. You read, react, and we adjust while it still costs nothing to adjust.
  4. Full draft. The complete manuscript, then revision rounds against your notes.
  5. Handover. Final manuscript, plus a signed assignment putting every right in your name.

What's included

  • Recorded interview sessions and transcription
  • A structural outline you sign off before drafting
  • Chapter-by-chapter delivery, never one big reveal at the end
  • Revision rounds written into the scope up front
  • Full confidentiality — the work is published as yours alone
  • Copyright assigned to you in writing

Good for

  • Business and authority books
  • Memoir and life story
  • Fiction, where you have the story but not the hours
  • Ebooks, lead magnets and online course scripts

On timing, honestly. A full-length book takes months, not weeks — writing one properly is slow work and anyone promising otherwise is either cutting corners or not doing the writing themselves. We give you a real date at the start and tell you early if anything is going to move.

Service 02

Editing & beta reading

Four different jobs that people lump together as "editing". Asking for the wrong one is the most common and most expensive mistake authors make — so if you are unsure, send us the manuscript and we will tell you which it needs.

Editing levels compared
LevelWhat it fixesWhen to use it
Developmental edit Structure, pacing, plot holes, argument order, whether the book works at all First draft finished. Nothing later is worth doing until this is settled.
Line edit Sentence rhythm, clarity, repetition, voice consistency Structure is sound, but the prose is heavy going.
Copy edit Grammar, punctuation, consistency, factual slips, style sheet The book is written. This makes it correct.
Proofread Typos, spacing, layout errors in the final files Last step before upload. Never a substitute for the others.

Beta reading

The feedback that is hardest to get and most worth having: real readers from your genre telling you where they got confused, where they got bored, and where they stopped believing a character.

  • Readers matched to your genre, not generalists
  • A written report per reader, not a star rating
  • Specific chapter-level notes on where attention dropped
  • A summary from us on which notes are worth acting on

What you receive

  • Your manuscript with every change tracked, so nothing is silent
  • A clean copy with changes accepted, for reading
  • An editorial letter explaining the significant judgement calls
  • A style sheet recording every decision, for your next book
  • One round of follow-up questions after you have read it all

Service 03

Cover design

A reader scrolling a category page gives your cover about two seconds, and in those two seconds they are not judging whether it is beautiful. They are deciding whether it is the kind of book they like. Getting that signal right is the whole job.

How it runs

  1. Genre research. We look at what is currently selling in your category, because conventions shift and last year's look reads as dated.
  2. Two concepts. Different directions, not two versions of one idea, so the choice is meaningful.
  3. Refinement. You pick a direction and we develop it through the revision rounds agreed at the start.
  4. Production files. Every format and size you will actually need, correctly specified.

What you receive

  • Ebook cover at retailer specifications
  • Full print wrap — front, spine and back, with the spine width calculated from your real page count and paper stock
  • Hardback wrap if you are printing one
  • Social and advertising crops
  • A 3D mockup for your website and launch posts
  • Layered source files, so you are never locked to us for a change

A note on stock imagery. Most commercial covers use licensed stock, and that is normal and fine. What matters is that the licence genuinely covers commercial book use — we buy the right licence and give you the record of it, so nobody comes after you two years into sales.

Formatting & publishing

Bad typesetting is the fastest way to make a good book look amateur, and readers notice it without being able to name it. This is the invisible service — done right, nobody comments on it at all.

Interior formatting

  • Print interior typeset to your trim size, with proper margins and gutter allowance
  • Running heads, folios, and chapter openers that behave
  • Reflowable ebook file that works on a phone, not just a Kindle
  • Working table of contents, correctly linked
  • Front and back matter set up properly
  • Widow and orphan control, because the details are the job

Publishing setup

  • Upload to your own KDP or IngramSpark account — you keep the keys and the royalties come to you directly
  • Categories and keywords researched, not guessed
  • Book description formatted so it displays properly on the retailer page
  • Pricing set across territories
  • Proof check before you approve the print copy

Your account stays yours. We publish into an account you own and control. Some companies publish under their own account and keep you as a passenger on your own book — if you ever leave, you lose the listing, the reviews and the sales history. That is not how this works here.

Service 05

Book promotion

A book nobody hears about does not sell, however good it is. We build the launch around what your book actually is and who it is for, rather than running the same checklist for every title.

What we build

  • A launch plan with dates, working back from your publication day
  • Press release written for editors, not for you
  • Media kit — author bio, book summary, cover assets, interview questions, all in one file a journalist can use
  • Review outreach to bloggers and reviewers in your genre
  • Social creative sized for each platform
  • Ad creative and campaign setup if you are running ads

What we won't do

  • Buy reviews, or arrange reviews in exchange for payment. It breaches every retailer's terms and gets books removed.
  • Promise bestseller status. Anyone selling you that is selling you a category so narrow the ranking means nothing.
  • Guarantee coverage. We can guarantee the outreach, not an editor's decision.
  • Run follower-buying or engagement pods.

Service 06

Websites & landing pages

Somewhere to send readers that belongs to you rather than to a platform that can change its rules. Author sites, single-book landing pages, and business sites for clients outside publishing.

What we build

  • Author websites — books, about, blog, contact
  • Single-book landing pages built to convert a visitor into a buyer
  • Email signup wired into your mailing list from day one
  • Business and service sites for non-author clients

How they are built

  • Fast and mobile-first, because most of your readers arrive on a phone
  • Written to be found in search, not just to look good
  • Yours to keep — you own the domain, the files and the accounts
  • Editable without us, with a walkthrough of how
  • Design mockup approved before any code is written

About pricing

Why there are no prices on this page

A 30,000-word guide and a 120,000-word novel are not the same job. Neither is a manuscript that needs restructuring and one that needs a proofread. Any price we published would be wrong for most of the people reading it.

So we ask instead. Tell us what you are working on and what you have to spend, and we will tell you honestly what that covers — including when the answer is that it doesn't stretch far enough yet.
